not ’90s. close enough. because we need more of this on television— especially on television aimed at young people.  Nothing on tv talks to kids about stuff like this anymore and it’s such a shame.  I don’t understand what happened

some early ’00s nostalgia for you

This girl… the talent… I just can’t even form sentences when I think about her. haha Did any of you get to see her as Belle on Broadway?  She’s incredible

Guys, I need some comfort here— Disney Channel is on in the background while I attempt to write my endless lesson plans, and I hear Anneliese van der Pol’s voice!  So I start paying attention to this Shake It Up show only to find that Anneliese is playing the role of a has-been teen star.  They just referred to Anneliese’s character as an “old lady” and “middle-aged”, and keep saying things like “blast from the past”,  ”back in the day”, “the stars of yesterday”…  

I’m sorry, this is just unacceptable.  Who gave Disney Channel permission to move on with the times and bring in these new little Shake it Up girls, anyway?

Chelsea Daniels will ALWAYS be relevant and better, all right?

This is a little bit beyond the ’90s, obviously, but I find it fitting to explain why I haven’t been over here the past few days. LOL.  College vacation next week, so I’ll be back 100% soon! Hope you’re all doing well! xo

I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to Raven while it was in its original run, but then I see things like this and miss it terribly.  (2003)

so, this is obviously not from the ’90s, but it’s from early ’00s, so I’m making it work.  haha.  I just feel the need to express my disappointment and confusion over how one of the most talented “Disney channel singers” EVER just fell away into the background.  Anneliese had an amazing stint on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast, but where is she now?  and how on EARTH did she never gain the recognition that these radio stars have today?  I just don’t understand.

this show.  LOL I don’t even know what to say.  It was so entertaining.  I remember laughing so hard at this part.  Raven has such a gift for comedy

this is from 2003 and I don’t even know how funny it actually is, but the first time I saw this I was literally rolling on the floor laughing my butt off.  haha maybe I just have a ridiculously immature sense of humor, but it still gets me every time XD 

is it sad that this video almost makes me cry?  this was basically the last group of the great Disney Channel era (who could really sing as well).  

I had such a crush on AJ Trauth!  Hilary, Christy, Anneliese… :(  I miss you!
