That reminds me of Searching for David’s Heart (2004) with Danielle Panabaker and Ricky Ullman. Her brother dies in a car accident and she felt responsible, so she went to find the recipient of David’s heart to try and get some closure. She was upset when she found out that the boy who received David’s heart was nothing like David at all. Does that sound right? I tried to find a video or a good photo for you but I can’t find much of anything :/ I loved that movie— I remember it like I just watched it yesterday. There is a novel by Cherie Bennett also. xox

I meant to post some Talkboy pictures a few months ago and completely forgot. Thanks for reminding me! xx

aww thank you so much! I really appreciate that :) One lovely person found a download link to Susie Q, but the link no longer works. I found it on Youtube, but it’s not all together from the same user. There is a little missing between the first link and the second link, but it’s better than nothing I suppose. I will definitely post another link if a better one becomes available! Susie Q part one, Susie Q parts 3-12. And Wish Upon a Star is also on Youtube, but this time the entire movie is here (and all uploaded by the same user): Wish Upon a Star

so yeah. Disney Channel used to dress girls like this while they talked about losing their virginity, got hickeys, and said things like, “tramp”, “hell” and “pop a Midol”. I don’t know what has happened between 1996 and now… but I’d like 1996 back, please.
Wish Upon a Star (1996 DCOM)

(1994)
Katie Heigl was a just a mere model for “schoolgirl cool” fashion back in the day…

So I’m watching the Disney Channel movie, Wish Upon A Star, on YouTube right now and it’s amazing how much Disney channel has gotten so much more censored over the years. This movie came out a little over a decade ago in 1996 and features full on make out scenes, scantily clad outfits, and even the dirty dirty while nowadays it’s rare to even see a peck on the cheek. They certainly didn’t cuss, but I did hear a “What the hell?” Even in Susie Q, her and her boyfriend die from what’s thought to be drunk driving. And these were such good movies. D: It’s not like Disney Channel completely sucks now, but that “realistic” touch they used to put to their movies were great.
I just felt like talking about this. The difference is really amazing to me! Lol.
agreed. I feel like Disney Channel is going backward in time lately— to a prudish and completely repressed era. This isn’t to say that I think we need more sex and foul language on television, quite the opposite, but I would like to see more realistic dialogue and situations on Disney these days. They used to be so good at that. Everything is so dumbed down and ridiculously corny now. There is a lot to be said for kids’ programming that addresses family problems, school problems, reckless driving/reckless behavior in general, and even virginity. it’s educational. it’s real. What kind of education are today’s kids getting from Disney Channel?
My top 13 Disney Channel movies! (I compromised between top 10 and 15 LOL)
and I love reading all of your answers to the favorite DCOM question!
