since I never bothered to label VHS tapes when I was younger, I now have a drawer full of unmarked videos. I started watching through them this weekend to see what I taped, and I found this from 1993! I just thought I’d share this TGIF commercial :)
Cory: Well you know what mom, I’m sure you’ll be real happy to know that I’m not going to Pittsburgh, kay?
Alan: Why not? Did you two get in a fight?
Cory: No, no fight. I just realized I’m the one making all the phone calls, I’m the one writing all the letters but I will not be the one who drives 300 miles to get rejected and look like a fool. So if life doesn’t want me and Topanga to be together then you can’t fight life, can you?

I always tear up when he opens that door and she’s standing there in the rain. you’d think it would stop having any kind of emotional effect on me after all the times I’ve seen it, but no. ^_^
don’t tell her GTFO! This is your opportunity to educate her! seize it and save her from the misery and embarrassment that television has become! *sarcasm over* but seriously, let the girl know what she missed! =P
TOPANGA: I just think we often lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas in the frenzy of commercialism. CORY: What are you talking about? How are we gonna know what to ask for if we don’t have commercials?

even at a young age, I really appreciated that they showed the difficulties of marrying so young (although this particular part was quite hilarious. lol). Cory and Topanga were always such a fairy tale, it was nice to see a little bit of reality in there sometimes… I think that’s what helped make it so relatable
